What a rush those little critters are. We've had a week of miserable cloudy sludge and then come the 12th and it all clears - and I meant clears. The sky was very transparent. Virtually everybody was looking deep into saggitarius - having a look at M7!! - no rewaly M7!!. There was the Trifid, the Wild Duck and I think I heard Brian saying something about a pretty anoyed goose, but I'm sure I was wrong. I can't wait for tonight if its clear, I'm going out in the back garden.

we had several more perseids after you left last night, and a brilliant (in both senses of the word) Iridium flare.

All in all, a fine night.

ps, moved this topic to astro discourse, hope you don't mind.
