CME coming directly towards Earth 15th March 2013 arrives 17th

INCOMING CME: A magnetic eruption on the sun during the early hours of March 15th hurled a coronal mass ejection (CME) directly toward Earth.  NOAA forecasters estimate a 70% chance of polar geomagnetic storms when the CME arrives on March 17th.  High-latitude and possibly even middle-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras this weekend. GEOMAGNETIC STORM: Skies over North America turned green for St. Patrick's Day.  A CME impact during the early hours of March 17th sparked auroras in the United States at least as far south as Colorado.  More auroras are possible tonight, mainly over the Arctic, as Earth's magnetic field continues to reverberate from the impact.  Check http://spaceweather.com for photos and updates.

Well that was not impressive, not easy to see in a city, but a friend of mine in in Alaska at the moment and its very impressive, but she has taken an iPhone and can't photograph it
