Mike

Just a reminder that there is an Imaging Session at my house this Friday from 8pm onward.

The Imaging Sessions are a chance to come along and either participate in some astro-photography (weather permitting) or to watch others do it and learn how it is done. If it is cloudy we stay in and socialise and on occasion we have a talk or demonstration on something astro-photography related. Any member is welcome, you don't need to have any astro-photography kit of your own. You are also welcome to bring along a friend or partner.

If anyone is willing to give a short talk/demonstration/workshop of anything astro-photography related it would be most welcome.

If you want further info them send me a Private Message .

The weather is looking a bit naff. Is there anybody up for doing a little demonstration or workshop? If not any other suggestions for activities?

You mean get a few people standing outside your house holding up banners with messages like "SAY NO TO CLOUD!" ?  They could also shout out slogans:  "What do we want? - NO CLOUD!  When do we want it? - NOW!"

How about "Getting EQMOD 127f to track Comet PANSTARRS using Custom Tracking Rates and MPC data" which is something I want to get to grips with and don't mind doing so with an audience. A learning process for all. (I do know a bit about it already!)

Mike

Mark & DUncan,

Both excellent ideas. I suggest we stand outside and demonstrate about the clouds for a while, then come inside for a cuppa and a demonstration/brainstorming session about the comet tracking.

Mark, you bring the banners.
