Desktop picture will not go off

Does anyone know how to get the desktop picture to go into save mode, is it? It used to go off after a while, unless touched, but seems to stay on all the time now. Not sure if it harms the screen to have it sitting there all the time.

screens don't suffer burn like they used to. However, power saving is good as always.

Right click on desktop, choose properties and you can adjust the screensaver settings from one of the tabs. The exact name and process changes from version to version, but it's reasonably straightforward to work out.

Alternatively, you can go to control panel and use the power control.
