My T ring is stuck on the back of the filter wheel. Even stilsons will not budge it. I have put it in the fridge to see if metal contracts. Has anyone any ideas please?

Folks, please imagine yourself explaining your post to a ten-year-old. If the explanation is likely to include "facts of life" or "birds and bees" stuff then think again before you hit "Post".

(Yes, I know that technically you have to be 13 or over to join this forum, but younger kids can still read it...)

Well Fay,  I'm horrified ! I cannot believe you use Stilsons on your Astro gear.

I think Rick is quite right to Quarantine this post, we don't want young budding astronomers learning to use Stilsons to put kit together do we !

Fay

Well, Robert, if i could not have got it off, I would have had to keep that wheel for the Orion & get another for all else.
I had not even screwed it on tight, and it was impossible to move!
Will put a little bit of clock oil on the thread. I have had this problem before with other threads. Some seem very coarse & that could be the problem.

Well, Robert, if i could not have got it off,

What's all this about?

Ian

the merciless scythe of moderation has already rent this thread asunder once...

Still, it's always good to watch :)

Chris,  you've been thinking about that Naked Bike Ride too much ...

Ian

if you get a stuck T-ring on a naked bike ride, I suggest you check to make sure no-one's nicked your saddle mate.
