Above and below the thread there should be links offering choices like "REPLY", and each individual message should have a link saying "Quote". However, I have been twiddling with permissions, so it's possible the appropriate options got lost at some point...

Hmmm... There should be a Quote button on each individual message, and a REPLY link at the top and bottom of each page of messages...

Your own messages should also have Modify and Remove buttons next to Quote.

For some weird reason I seem to be getting an ADD POLL option at the botton where there's a MARK UNREAD option at the top...

...but once you add a poll it turns into the expected MARK UNREAD.
