NGC 2182 and environs

An interesting area in Monoceros next to the lower left leg of Orion. This really needs a lot more data, the filter has scuppered the colours except red and bluey green which there should be more of.

I love this target, been trying to get some more data on it for a few years but never in the right place at the right time. 

If you don't mind me saying you have a red sky background gradient that is easily sorted in Photoshop, or Pixinsight I would have thought, whatever you use.

Otherwise a very nice rendition of this not so often imaged targe which I have always known as NGC2170, but NGC2182 is also in the FOV

Very nice Duncan! This is rather low in the sky from London (I took a picture of it in 2019 and mine is too blue!)... but it's a beautiful object.

I have just looked it up in Luminous Pro which seems to show that it is in the middle of a satellite superhighway!

Carole, Sorry, missed that out - post updated. I did and automatic gradient removal, from what I can find out that seems to be background gas.
