Clear Skies?

I know some of you use sky quality meters and such to determine how clear your skies are.

The Global Meteor Network software has just had a new feature added to it. The aim is to calculate a meteor flux, and part of the calculation involves determining how cloud-free (or not) the camera's view is. It does this by knowing where the camera's pointing, and seeeing how many stars that should be in that field of view can actually be seen. There are, of course, other adjustments it needs to do, but one of the diagnostic by-products of this new code is a display like this:



The periods with a blue background are when it thought the sky was clear. It's a little added extra I get from my system.
