Not sure if it will do any good, but anything is worth a try

Thanks for putting this on the forum Carole.  I have signed the petition as I feel very strongly about it.

Kent County Council is reviewing their street lighting policy - including the idea of turning many lights off between midnight and 5am.

How far did the last one get ? :(

http://forum.orpington-astronomy.org.uk/index.php?topic=2276.msg8696#msg8696

what you need to do is to make it viral, try and spread it via blackberry messenger, facebook, twitter ect, get all the kids involved,
that way you might have a fighting chance,

otherwise convince 100'000 astronomers.

Dont forget, once you have the 100'000 signatures, then it will be debated.

dosent mean anything will ever get done about it, just that they will talk about it.

dont call me a cynic, but i want dark skies as much as everyone else, but just a thought. :!

Mac.

out of interest.
How many epetitions have ever reached over 100,000
