Sounds like an adventure!  I've not been up there for years and it does look nice, but what a long way to go.

At least you got back ok, I must admit I thought you have got lost!

Chris, I could quite easily have got lost!!!!

When I went up to the observatory, it was quite late in the day, & sun starting to go down,  I nearly got lost getting down again. There were lots of windy trails, with others going off in different directions. Firs all around, thought  a search party would have to come out, in the dark, although I had not told anyone I was going & no phone signal.
