Gamma Cygni - work in progress

Gamma Cygni and surrounding nebulosity from last night.
21 x 5min modified Canon EOS 350D on Tak Epsilon 180ED with CLS filter
The sky was good - Milky Way was quite clear and was still just visible down to 10 degrees above the South horizon.

This is a just a very quick pre-process to decide whether or not to take more subs.

It's the same region of sky as Fay's recent IC1318.  Sometimes also known as the Butterfly Nebula.

Great result Mark as usual.  I must admit I'm surprised that you're using a CLS filter with skies like that.

I'm looking forward to seeing the final result.

As usual Mark looking very good indeed. I am loving the colours. The image scale & FOV looks almost identical with Fay's. It would be really interesting to try & combine your data with her Ha data to see what evolves....

I may return to it sometime.  But last night I was imaging something completely different.  But I fell asleep at 12:30 am and didn't re-awaken until 3:30am - luckily the scope didn't collide with the mount.

I prefer the colours of the reprocess, but it looks like you're picking up some dark halos round the larger stars.

My apologies - Eyes appear to be working correctly now
