Like a busy urban family, planets rarely get together all at once. Later this month, however, the five so-called naked-eye planets - Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn - will reunite in the night sky, giving spectators a unique chance to see Earth's closest companions in one easy sitting.

Could see all five just after sunset yesterday, with the crescent moon just above Mercury.

Should be plenty of photo opportunities coming up - as long as these blasted clouds disappear!

Managed to get them all - first from Hastings on Sunday night (although I did have Sebastian with me - his eleven year old eyes helped to spot Mercury) and then again from Bromley on Monday night.
