just to clarify Mike, do we need to book a pitch in advance or can we just turn up?

Mike

Not sure. You can book online using a booking form so it's easy enough to do. I've booked anyway just in case.

Give them a ring if you're not sure.

Should we mention OAS when booking so we get put together  :)

Or do you think they might have heard of us

Mike

I've already sent the guy an email to expect a bunch of alcohol fuelled pyromaniacs that go under the pretence of astronomers

p.s. Thanks Rick for changing the front of the OAS website..

REPLY FROM BLACKLANDS:............

Hi Mike

We have availability for those dates; I have reserved space for you and your
party and really look forward to having you camp with us. Below is all the
information you should need, Prices are at the bottom of this email.

As you come up the drive there are two speed bumps, after the second speed
bump turn right through the wooded area the Reception is on your left
through the second gate - (Please leave your payment before setting up your
site.) . Follow the drive round the camping field to find your site. Our
website (bottom of the page) has a detailed map so you shouldn't have any
trouble finding us.

As far as we are able, we run an honesty site, so please bring your money in
an envelope and post it through the door of the reception situated inside
the campsite immediately to your left through the woods after the second
gate BEFORE setting up your site. NOT the bungalow half way up the drive on
the right hand side.

Please can you write on the envelope the following information?
1. Name
2. Car registration number
3. How much is in the envelope
4. How many are camping and what days you have paid for i.e. 2 adults 2
children under 5 fri-sun
5. Mobile number (someone's car alarm went off while they were out and we
were unable to get hold of them to turn it off)

Any problems when you arrive call 07970826204

Have a great time and enjoy your stay!

Kindest Regards

Phil

Mike,

Since you have made a reservation for the whole party does that mean I don't need to book as an individual?  i.e. I just turn up with an envelope of money + my details to post through reception's door?

Mark

Mike

Mark I know nothing about it. I am presuming Chris did it.

Mike, this message from you
http://forum.orpington-astronomy.org.uk/index.php?topic=4998.msg27569#msg27569
gave me the impression they had reserved space for us.

Mark

Mike

That was what he sent me after I made my own personal booking  :-?
