Coma Cluster (Version 1)

This is one from last year or rather part of one as I still have more subs to process but taken with the camera rotated so a bit of a pita.

Taken in Orpington between 13-20 April 2021
263 x 120s subs drizzle stacked in pixinsight and processed using Pixinsight and Affinity Photo (tried to bring out as many small galaxies as possible but blew the rest in my attempt).

Took a while to stack and yes a few warts !

It's not really worth showing this as it seems to be a very uninteresting piece of sky, the full res is much better:



I think there are hundreds if not thousands of really faint galaxies (Wiki seems to indicate at least a thousand galaxies in the Super Cluster):

Thats pretty impressive,

Can you imagine how many more galaxies are there just in the IR Region.
this would be a fantastic view for the JW to capture.

Really nice image Robert. I have been working on processing this galaxy cluster for the last week and a half. It may not look like it, but this is actually a very interesting region of sky that you have captured.
