M31 Andromeda

Had to crop quite a bit off as had quite a thick border at bottom and on the right , not sure why maybe stacking parameters  somewhere?

The Thing

Hi Roger,
Is this a stack of just the red filter data? It's very red. The data looks good but the galaxy cores are blown out.

There is some nice detail in the dust lanes, but if this is LRGB there is something very wrong in the processing, as Duncan says it is too red, and there does not seem to be any other colour to be extracted from the image despite having all channels.

Shame you couldn't get your small refractor mounted in time for this as it would have given a great FOV on M31. 

BTW this is another target that would benefit from shorter subs for the cores, although with careful selective layering you can just about get away without doing that on this target.

Take another look at your processing work flow Roger, I have a sneaking feeling you have put wrong colours into the channels, i.e. red more than once.

Otherwise the data is quite nice.
