I set up on the patio as I was worried the Moon was going to go behind the trees at the vital moment.

I did a full range of images throughout the eclipse and am hoping to be able to construct a sequence, but found the level of brightness varied such a lot throughout and especially the range needed to capture the part in umbra and the part not eclipsed so was having to keep changing the settings and take one lot for each so will try to combine them.

This is the last set I took at 3.11am which is 11 x 1/1 @1600 iso
Modified Canon 450D, ED80 and HEQ5
(I took Raw and jpeg as a precaution and so far not been able to get Registax to process the Raw files, so these are Jpegs.

Excellent result!  That captures the event really well.

It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!

That is stunning. Really love the colour!

Thanks Kenny.

QuoteReally love the colour!
I did no post-processing on this at all, it's how it came out of the camera.  But I guess being a modified DSLR it might have given it a bit more red than an unmodified one would have done.
