It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!

looks good Fay - lovely wide FOV - like you said maybe lacking a little bit of contrast due to the moon - loads of dusty stuff though.. John

Fay

yes thanks John. the Moon was right above it, but I thought I would see what happened. would have tried something else if moon had not been there, like Barnards loop

Looks really great Fay.

I did the same image on Tuesday night using a 200mm lens on the DSLR.  No-where near as good as this though.

That's a very nice widefield Fay.

It's good to see you getting out again.

The Thing

I like that Fay. Is it my imagination or is this part of the sky getting gasier?

MarkS

Well done Fay!

It's great to see an image from you again.  It's a fine image, especially given the nearby moon.

I've just been comparing your H-alpha with the redder dusty bits in my recent Orion image - they match up quite nicely :)

Mark

Fay

Gasier Duncan?

Thanks mark and robert. I have to make use of my extended sky view!
