Spaghetti heads

Ok all you spaghetti heads, (esp Duncan and Julian) shoot me down in flames about cable management, but why can't hi-gain wireless usb units be used between computer and hardware?

Latency. Buggers up the guiding loop. Image download, analyse, send correction... Plus you are downloading light frames at intervals and other stuff like focusers maintain a connection. A direct connection with ASCOM, EQMOD and PHD has a latency of around 10-15ms (their is a tool in EQMOD Toolbox tto measure it).

I just like lots of cables and it works. plus it gives you something to do at stupid a clock when it doesn't.

I do have to say, lots of cables does look impressive, I think I'll have to make up a loom. I guess a lot of learning again.
