...........i went outside last night & got another 12x900 and added the other 9x600 to it.  So QSI 583 ws, Leitz 180mm Telyt Apo @ F4

SX decided not to work, so the air was very blue last night, had to dig the Atik out. then laptop wanted its disc, so had to go indoors & hunt that out!

I restacked the lot & all the stars were trailing, so was very upse. did it all again today & it seems ok.

It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!

well i suffered outside last night. had a burnt behind sitting on the pet bed warmer. it was really cold & the sky did not clear until about 3 hours after they said it would.

It's a "more data" post.  Anyway, re-processing is a good way to learn.

Thanks Carole, well i started to panic & when the clear bit came, the guide camera would not work!! so the air was very blue!!!!!!! hope no one was out in the garden............................

That's really excellent Fay!  The extra data has made a huge difference.  There's so much detail in the faint wispy bits and a great field of view.  That lens is a great performer.  It was definitely worth all the pain and suffering.

Do you have a larger version of the image?

This is a great (re...... or not) image. (This is due to the fact that it is another one of your MONO images. I just love your mono.  ;))
