Finally beginning to get those gradients under control.  But I think it will take at least another full re-process before I'm happy.

52 hours of data in 5 min subs at ISO 800 (630 subs!!) acquired over 7 nights back in March.
Modded Canon 350D on Tak Epsilon 180ED with no light pollution filter.

Wow Mark that's a stunner and just in time for next year's calendar pick.
One of my favourite DS areas of the sky.

Well done sorting out the gradients.

Gosh you have earnt that one Mark!!!! such a lot of tiny galaxies in the area
It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!

Following John's suggestion, I've annotated them using the PixInsight plate solve and annotation scripts:

and inverted:

Here are the larger (and readable) versions:

There are quite a few objects there - I haven't counted them.

Carole

I might be a few out,  but I counted 439 galaxies.  It's a bit easier with a grid as you know where you've been.

An amazing image.

What a superb 'MARK' arian chain - is so damn good they even named the thing after you... ;-)

Loving the annotated version as well..

Another for the book,

John.
