This is the best I can do. 6x480sec Canon 600D, Sigma 10-20 @ 15

It may not have the best signal to noise ratio but it shows the Milky Way in all it's glory.  I like it.

Was that one image or did you stitch a couple together ?

Nice image and it also has a tree in it. You should have entered that for the Astrophotographer of the Year competition.

That has come out well - I love it!

The H-alpha is very distinct - were you using a light pollution filter?

I can see Jupiter, Pleiades, California, Flaming Star, Heart, Soul, Andromeda Galaxy, North American, Pelican plus loads of other stuff!

Do you have a larger version?

Mark

Fay

Oh Mark, I am overcome!

you will have to put an arrow on all the objects, yes have a BIG one!

Well I have to say Fay I think it's totally Crap..! probably your worst image ever...!!!! Can't believe you even had the 'balls' to post it on a Astrophotography Imaging Forum... You've really lowered the tone & achievements of the OAS by posting this one... Shame on you...... ;-)

...... OK! - Only Joking (It must be Friday) - It's different & good - Like Mark says you can readily identify several DSO's & it's great to see them all in the context of the whole sky. I like it as well & would like to have a trawl through a larger version please... Shame the tree's are blurry though.. - you could of at least waited for the wind to stop. :-)

Fay

this is full size, because it is vertical, does not take over the whole screen. stars did not knit very well on the left, as a bit of egg shapes going on, due to lens.

Would you annotate it - so we can identify all the interesting bits.

Thanks!
