There was this interesting little snippet in that article:

...contracts have been signed that will see a launch pad built at Kourou to enable Arianespace to offer Russian Soyuz rockets to customers.

Did you see the size of its solar array? That will certainly be an easy object to spot.

It's going to 118.7 West, so I don't think it'll be visible from here, but it should be quite bright (for a geostationary object, anyway) in American skies.
