Hi,

This is a quick stack of 24x5 Minute L with my QSI and a Tak 85mm @F5.3.

You've got some lovely data there Chris.  The dust is showing up very well, which is crucial to get a good looking final image of M78.   The original size is a bit noisy but scaled down it's looking excellent.

A very good start!

Looking good Chris - lovely widefield... Is that part of Barnards Loop off to the top right...?

RobertM

Looking good for the colour...

Fay

Very good Chris, so clear.  I am missing a bit of sky glow!!!!!!!

Hi,

Yes thats barnards loop on the right, a little noise because I did a quick brighness scaling which can be fixed, also I have 24x5 RGB to add, although I need to assess them 1st.  M78 is really difficult to image well, but I think I might have done ok.  Just down to the processing now.

Chris

P.S. I have some IFN on one of my other images, but thats for the geeks its not an RGB image :-)

Fay

Not bad at all Chris, looking good!!

That's a good result, Chris, on a very tough target.

Looking forward to the result when you've given it some serious processing.

Looking seriously nice, Chris
