Thank god Mac didn't have his operation today as I managed to get some astro photography done.  :cheesy: 




Canon 7D, Canon 100 to 400 lens set to 190mm, ISO 800 F7.1, 1/4sec

I love the composition!

Why did you select ISO800 and F7.1? A faster F-ratio or slower ISO would have given a less noisy image.

It's artistic, like adding artificial film grain texture to an otherwise digital photo. Nice.

Great image and lovely subject matter.................but where are the trees, or beach scene, to make this a truly astronomical composition.  ;)

That's a very nice image. There's a fair amount of lunar detail in the full size shot.
