Remote access

Still waiting for my QSI and a new motor board for the Sphinx mount. Hopefully should be with me in a couple of weeks   In the meantime though I have been trying to work out how to keep an eye on the guiding from indoors. Previously I have kept popping out every 10 mins. Got an old pentium XP laptop so tried to enable remote access on that in windows only to discover that Vista Home premium which is on the main laptop does not support it! (X!@! microsoft). So I found this little gem of a program called MYIVO which is easy to load, works on all windows versions and is free. It allows you to mirror the main laptop screen (which is outside) and also control it. Seems to work really well.  Hopefully this means I can sit with my feet up in front of the telly but see what is going on!

I used to use VNC. There are various versions around some paid, some free.
