Hi All, I managed to get out for a while last night, though the DEC on my mount kept drifting, i think because of the frost mounting up around it, so decided to pack it in about 3:00am.

Anyway, despite the mount troubles and the nasty background brightness, I managed to get a couple of hours on the heart nebula, as well as some time on the core of M42, IC410, and M31.

Unfortunately because of the mount issues, IC410 and M31 came out pretty terrible and I only got a few good subs, so I'll just keep the data for later when I have more subs.

Because of the sky glow I had a job lifting IC1805 out of the background so I used my RRGB technique on it which seemed to help.

Anyway, details are :-

Imaging Scope = C14 with Hyperstar III
Camera = Canon 40D (Modded)
Ambient Temperature = -3 Degrees Celcius
Filters Used = CLS
Date Taken = 22/12/09
Light Frames = 48x180s ISO 160(Heart)   70x10s ISO 160(M42 Core)
Dark Frames = 34x180s ISO 160(Heart)   No darks Applied (M42 Core)
Flat frames = 100x1/13s ISO 160
Bias  = 100x1/8000s ISO
