Everyone else is having a try, so here's my attempt - hope it works.  It covers 90 minutes elapsed time.

Hmm - I couldn't make it work without right clicking the link and doing "Save Target As ..."

And you might have problems with the Codec I used: Indeo 5.0

Let me know if it works.

Mike

Works for me. Nice animation Mark.

Nope not for me with windows media player

mickw

Nope, me neither in latest Media Player but it works fine in Media Player Classic

Nice animation as well

What's the best codec to use for maximum compatibility?   I could re-create the avi.

I also have a much smoother animation with 4x as many frames but it is very large.

Couldn't you just save as an animated gif? It's what I did with mine... John

Aimated gif gave me a really clunky colour palette - it looked terrible.

JohnP

ah... mine was B&W so I guess this wasn't an issue...

I did my animated gif in Pshop - I'm sure there is an option to export as a Macromedia Flash (SWF) file - maybe this would work better without the blotchey pallette...

Using Photoshop (instead of PaintShopPro) I've now created a GIF animation that looks O.K. but it is much bigger than the AVI (8Mbytes instead of 2.4 Mbytes)

Trouble is, I can't upload it to the server.  It seems to successfully upload O.K. but when I then try to place it in an album I get the error "The previous file could not be placed"

It's probably failing to produce one or other of the smaller versions. Or it may be another manifestation of the current login problem. I'll look into it.

Rick

Yes, it was the thumbnail it couldn't create. I've done the necessary hacking to create and upload one now. Just don't try to re-create the thumbnail... ;)

Nice Mark - that has came out well - good to see in colour even if clouds are playing havoc with the background.

Well done & worth the effort - John
