Looks interesting as well - not seen this before... Nice, John

PS - Very impressed with 20min subs.. do you ever get 19min through a sub & then something goes wrong...?

Whitters

Yep :-? though not too often so far ;)

RobertM

Another excellent image!  Everything looks like it's really working out well with that kit of yours.

This is on my list for this month to, it looks really good in Narrowband as it's quite bright in both OIII and SII as well as Ha.  I think the Americans call it the Monkey head nebula.

Rocket Pooch

ok i might have a bash

RobertM

Chris, fwiw I would recommend just narrowband and no RGB unless you're going to merge it in with the NB.  Even HaRGB looks a but dull with this target, well, that's from the images I've seen on the web anyways..

Whitters

NGC 2175 is the open cluster while NGC2174 is the associated nebulosity.

Whitters

Just made out the Monkey, thanks Robert.

RobertM

It does take a bit of imagination, it's what you'd expect being nick named by an American!

I like it Paul.  A very different subject.  And I've just worked out the monkey head!
