DSI Guiding

Hello All.

Its been a glorious few nights and i have recently acquired a cheap guider scope mounted on my Meade LX90 which i am starting to use with two DSI cameras.

Problem i am having is that the pixel correction being made by the software (Meade autosuite) can range from 0 to 30 over a period of minutes. I read that really you need the correction to be under 1 pixel on both x and y axis for long exposure photography and wonder what considerations I should make to reduce the corrections.

Is it a case of trial and error with counter weighting and manual polar alignment ? I have not been using the PEC on the LX90 and i don't know if this will make difference to the corrections.

Has anyone got experience with the LX90 ? I would be grateful for any advice.

Just check that you have changed the setting in the telescope to polar and not left them in alt az.
Setup. telescope. Mount.
that realy does screw things up when your trying to guide.

Yeah I think ive done that before

Def polar aligned - guess just need to make sure as accurately aligned as poss before i start guiding.
