Cheers John. I've had a play with it. It looks very good, IRIS does something similar but doesn't include a preview so it's hard to see if you're making much of a difference. Unfortunately, the noise on the image is very complex so I've not been able to remove it completely. I've attached the result, it's not anything even close to the quality of other images taken over the weekend but I'll post it anyway as evidence that I was actually imaging...

Take some BIAS frames they should get rid of it.

unfortunately it's not constant, it's approximately regular so stacking removes most of it but not all. It also turns up on dark frames which reduces it too, a bit. I'll have a go anyway, the noise is not relative to exposure length. Remind me, bias frames are zero length exposures aren't they?

sort of changing the subject, what was that camera you showed me?
