Pleiades Occultation..

As discussed last night I just checked Skymap pro & occultation of Pleiades by moon should begin around 22:52 GMT - Moon will be about 23deg up in NW direction (so you will need a reasonable horizon) - It carries on through early morning on 24th & should finish just as its setting around 01:40..

Unfortunately, I have a crappy Western horizon from my garden so I probably won't be able to image. Hopefully if it stays clear someone will get a chance - Should be an awesome sight.

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately not me Paul, kept popping my head outside but cloudy as hell in Bromley... :-( Fingers crossed for Saturn occultation.

Yes but Saturn occultation is tomorrow night I think......

opps.... Just checked - Saturn occultation happens tonight or should I say early 2morrow morning - shame I have to be in Manchester by 9.00am...
