LRGB - The Crab Nebula

First time to image since DSC due to crappy weather. Anyway Monday night was good & scope/ guiding etc. seemed to be working well for a change. Decided to do LRGB on Crab Nebula to compare with my previous B&W best attempt 9 mths ago - Also inspired by Chris's recent success.

As usual used SC3 Toucam on MN56. L = 40 X 1min using CLS filter & R,G,B = 8 X 1min each. I should have done more RGB but I was getting 'bored...'

Anyway here it is - I've posted previous B&W effort for comparisson... The CLS filter is great & really helps to bring out some of the Ha twists etc.

Nice image John,
and how can you get bored actually imaging DSO's, rather that waiting for a larger object ie 'the Moon' etc.

Thanks for the comment Tony... believe me it does get boring...

With regards to processing I basically followed through one of the excellent online tutorials from Don Waid on LRGB using Photoshop. You can view it here:
