Chris,

An absolutely excellent image & well worth all the effort you've put into it. I'm not an expert but I have seen a lot of M27 images on all the various forums & webpages I check & this definitely ranks near the top even more so when you consider where it was taken from. It would be great if you could perhaps document on your webpage exactly how you got the final result... with perhaps a few images along the way. I want to try some long exposure RGB with the SC3 once I sort out my guiding & any pointers you could give would be very miuch appreciated.

Once again a great image & definitely ranks as one of the best by an OAS members.

cheers,  John

Hi Chris
I just compared your image with the M27's on google images and apart from the first 6 pages of images and the four images of saturn yours is pretty good.
But seriously, if you do compare the images with google apart from the APOD image yours is up there with the best of them, and if you were to get your own VLT, who knows.

keep up the good work.
