This one has been a bit of pig to process because of sky gradients, and there is obviously a lot of dust in this area which needs loads more data to clearly define, but when that will get done is anyone's guess.

Taken over two nights at Kelling Heath Star party Sept 2016

Lum 7 x 600secs, 2 x 400 secs (cloud interruptions)
RGB 6 x 300 binned
ED120 & Atik314L HEQ5
WO FR 0.8
Total 2 hours 43 mins

That's looking really good!  The colour is excellent.  As you say, you'll need more data if you want to bring out the dust.

Do you have a larger version?

Funnily enough I also imaged this on the Sunday night when I got back from Kelling.  I managed to get 3 hours of data but it's a widefield version.  Waiting to be processed.

Thanks Mark, I've attached the larger version, but it's not really good enough at this stage for such close inspection, I shall change the title to a WIP.  I will definitely be attempting to add to this image.

well done Carole. a lot of nice colour, not sure I have heard of this one, what constellation is it in?

Carole

It's in Perseus Fay, part of the Perseus molecular cloud.

Yes I hadn't heard of it before but saw it done by some-one else and thought I'd give it a go.
