I built this from the jpg files.  Later I intend to create one from the raw files, which will allow me to have smoother transitions between the variations in exposure.

It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!

Yes - I was out there for the duration.

Well done Mark, I am still processing my images which I hope will be an animation.  I didn't stay out for the 2nd half though as I was really tired having helped my son move house over the weekend.

Nice Mark - really look forward to raw version - my only comments would be:

1. Would be great if could have bigger - (I guess file size becomes un-manageable)
2. To my brain the timelapse looks around the wrong way i.e. it is rising as it eclipses - shouldn't this be around the other way - i.e. as eclipse progressed moon got lower in sky...

Very nice though

Interesting points John.  I deliberately didnt want a static moon with shadow passing across it - everyone does that.  So Ithought it would be instructional to see the moon travel through a stationary shadow and it does pass right to left through the earth's shadow.  I thought it aided understanding of what is happening but maybe it doesn't.

Maybe it will be more obvious once I've included the umbral and penumbral circles

Nice one!

I thought Kent was going to be clouded out by the time the eclipse started so I drove up north to be sure I had clear skies.
