Very quick pre-process of an image taken around 3:18am - i.e. a few minutes after the moon entered the earth's umbra:

Sony A7S on Celestron C11 with TS 0.8x reducer/flattener

I forgot to say that I simply love the electronic shutter mode on that Sony - it means no shutter vibration or mirror slap - both of which are a huge problem when using a DSLR on long focal length scope like the C11.

This image was 0.5 sec at ISO 1000.

I looked at this Mark, but forgot to reply, as I have been in a heavy zombie state all day!!!!!

Very nice as expected, you have not got the bright lower rim that I had. i should have used the mount or even the Star thingy, but I had been busy doing Pickerings as well
It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!

Or if you've a small refractor on a Star Adventurer !

Lovely image, hope I get some of that colouring coming out in mine.
