Saturn system from the 13th

Just put together a Saturn system shot from the other night....

Great composite - Did you use the Vesta or SAC for the moons - they look solid - Not just points of light.

By the way where is Mimas - Was it too close to Saturn to be imaged?

yep all done with the vesta but with 120sec AVI's this time, the exposure was on auto everything for the moons.

The other moon was washed out by the glow from saturn, the saturn in this picture came from a subsequent exposure.

Hi,

It was the LX90 at prime, and no not yet.  

This is strange, on Titan it looks like a half moon and does on the raw images, would you happen to know if it does that?

if it does that?

No. It'll show (almost) exactly the same phase as Saturn when seen from Earth, which is to say as near full as makes no difference. You'd only see it showing a noticable phase if you had a vantage point out some distance further than Earth's orbit.

Chris, I'm trying to make out Cassini, could you point it out?

I guess I might have been behind Titan when you took the picture.

(by the way, you'll know it's Cassini and not a star by the gold glint off of Huygens heat shield)
