M27, complements of my home made focal reducer...

This is 16 30 second captures. I managed to fit it onto the CCD with my new focal reducer made from the objective lens taken from a Marks and Spencer (yes the well known optical house) monocular. The lens is 25mm in diameter and fits with a little tape into a film canister. I'll be using the eyepiece from it for eyepiece projection when I make an adapter for it. The eyepiece appears to be a kellner. If anyone has a use for a roof prism, let me know.

The best bit is, the monocular is fully coated and costs a mighty £12.

Now if we could persuade M&S to stock SCTs we'd be laughing...

Well!!!!!! Just unbeleivable - amazing. What fabulous picture. I am just staggered as to how much info you captured in that shot!!
