Rosette Nebula NGC 2237 HaRGB

This is a combination of the DSLR image I did back in January and Ha collected last night with the Atik383L
The orientation was about 45 degrees out so this is partly a hybrid using the DSLR image for the corners of the background sky - otherwise I would have had to do rather a large crop.  Maybe at a later date I'll try to get the missing bits, but most of the nebula itself is HaRGB.

7 hours (5min subs) Modified DSLR 450D taken January 2012 (APT)
2 hours Ha Atik383L (Artemis)
ED80 for both (I think)
guided on NEQ6

Bit of a problem lining up some of the outlying stars of the nebula (remember 3 of the corners are DSLR image so there is a join). (I had the same problem with my HH), and I guess this is due to different cameras and flattener variations.  

It's not perfect but I'm quite pleased with the result.

Nebulosity looks OK but the cyan stars and halos spoils it.

Something weird going on with the stars bottom right - lot of red stars

Hi Mick, yes it's quite difficult adding Ha to RGB as the Ha stars are smaller and it has some weird effects which I haven't yet found out how to deal with which show up more on the zoomed in image.  Getting there slowly.
