32 x 300secs 800 ISO, Modified Canon 450D no filters
Skywatcher ED80, guided with QHY5, ST80 and PHD on NEQ6
Captured in APT and dithering
Surplus sky cropped out
Actually took a further 9 images but several were wasted due to satellites, planes etc

Glad you got something Carole, especially  with that moon around

Wow - somebody got something at DSC!

Well done - it's looking good.

Thanks Mark, despite staying up until 4.15 I only managed 2 hours 40 mins because of all the wasted subs.

Thanks Mike, to be honest I was a bit disappointed with it (I guess seeing all those fabulous images that some people produce), but I guess I don't have the right camera - must get myself an Ha filter.

If you and Mark think it's good then that's reassuring.

To be honest, the Veil never looks that good done with a DSLR.

A camera with narrowband filters does a better job because it stops the stars looking so "blobby" and intrusive.
