Is this allowed, to combine images done with different cameras into the same image?

This is my M81 re-processed from last year with M82 superimposed which I did with my Atik back in April/ May using luminance and Ha filters.  The first time I have combined filters into channels and only just worked out how to do it.

Not brilliant, but I think it's better than the M82 in the original image and at least gives me an opportunity to use what I did with the Atik.   Can't post M82 in it's own image as there was a horrible artifact behind it which I couldn't process out.

It might be legal at the moment but I think there is forthcoming government legislation to outlaw this practice.

I completely agree with this. Won't someone think of the children?!!

For the sake of the children, please stop combining images from different cameras, it's wrong, you know it's wrong but still you persist

M82 is definitely more detailed - Don't push it too hard and make it noisy  ;)
Growing Old is mandatory - Growing Up is optional

Very nice Carole.  The atik has definitely improved it.
