First image in ages. Took advantage of Thursdays clear skies to try out my second Canon 350D - henceforth to be 350D2 and shortly to be 350D2 Ha as the glass has arrived from Edmund Optics. :)

Meade LX90 8" UHTC unguided
Orion Skyglow SCT filter
Baader Alan Gee Telecompressor II
30 x 1/200s at ISO 100 , last image 2009-12-03 23:53
(was - FITS subs processed in K3CCDTools (everything else including MaximDL kept crashing).)
All reprocessed in MaximDL.

Updated - converted to colour!

Big version 745K not full size.

Sorted - Thanks Mark.
Does anyone know why the big version is dotty? The TIF is the same. When you look at it full size it's fine (for a JPG).
Focus could have been better - my Lakeside Motor Focus is being built as this is posted.

You're looking at the raw Bayer matrix i.e. the raw RGB pixels.  It hasn't been converted into a colour image (yet).

And good luck with the Ha mod!

Aha. So much for K3CCD tools. I will convert to colour with Maxim and repost.

Ian

K3 will do the conversion on the fly. You just need to choose the right filter...

Nice to see a new image, Duncan. I am thinking it may be clear tomorrow!!!!!!
It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!
