This is something from a few weeks ago, usual culprits:

10 x 20m + 2 x 30m Astronomik 13nm Ha filter over 2 nights.  Visibility was about Mag 2.5-3 so fairly rubbish.

Was waiting to do the other two channels but life has conspired against that so this is a quick process of that data.

That's looking very good to me Robert.  It's one of my favourite objects.

I love those corner to corner pin-sharp stars!!

Looks really nice using that field of view, ethereal object in a swarm of stars.

Mac

wow, and thats from mag 2.5 - 3 skies

very nice.

Thanks guys.  I found this a really difficult object from around here the background sky noise is too high and really should have left it for a dark site.  Would like to do the RGB from Woodlands but I'm not sure I'll be able to get down there this w/e after all :(  I feel the 13nm filters are too wide and letting too much LP in so I've ordered the narrower Baaders.

PS. Mark, didn't you mean Tak sharp ;)

JohnP

looks nice Robert - You have clipped the blacks - If you make background a bit brighter there is lots more neb showing through etc. But I'm sure you know that anyway... oh for 30mn subs.... :-)

Nice one & love the FOV - John

Fay

Very nice Robert, you always deliver a nice image....30 mins subs....SIGH...........
It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!

30 min subs???!!! that's crazy, but well worth it, never managed to get a pleasing image of this one myself, always came out as a faint blob!

I agree with John though the blacks are a little clipped
