Where is your M42?

Duncan, I have not seen your M42 from DSC, has it been posted & I have missed it or have you not put it on?

Thanks for your kind enquiry If you saw the image you would know why it's kind!

It's not much cop. The guiding didn't work very well or it was the effect of the tripod legs settling into the sheep manure and glop that surfaces the Tuesnoad field. I may have another go and see if I can manually process something worthwhile out of the few subs that aren't totally trailed.

That's a shame Duncan. I think it is difficult getting the tripod right in a field, when we are trying to align in daylight. I can never find Poaris when I go down there.

If you can't find Polaris, what method do you use to polar align?

What I mean is, I always position the tripod in the wrong place, doing it in the light, & once it has sunk into the mud, it is difficult to move because of the weight
