California from Headcorn

Hot from the DSC. This shot of the California nebula is a sum of thirty 60 second exposures. Thru the Aero 4inch f2 lans and using the MX916 camera binned 2x2 an IR block and Hydrogen Alpha filter.

What a fantastic weekend. I'm glad you managed to get imaging done - it would have been a little disappointing if there was none.

Wonderful photograph - thanks for telling me where to find it (and I saw it on the gallery as well!!)

I was wondering about the dark hole in the nebula, I did calibrate tje image by applying bias, flat and dark field. So it should be true. I then checked other images and it is there on them too.
