Hi,

Mike put up the cascade challenge for may and its big, i have done a representation of my chip using a zs66 with my hx916 (square box), see below, the targers quite bright but to answer jims question you will need a very short focal length scope if you have an mx916 atik etc, probably the best thing will be a mosaic or a EOS and ZS66.

Coordinates of the centre of the image would be NGC4461 RA: 12h29m 27.0s DE:+13°08'06"

NGC 4474 Magnitude: 11.50, Surface Brightness: 12.70
NGC 4459 Magnitude: 10.40, Surface Brightness: 12.70
NGC 4477 Magnitude: 10.40, Surface Brightness: 13.10
NGC 4461 Magnitude: 11.20, Surface Brightness: 12.80
NGC 4435 Magnitude: 10.80, Surface Brightness: 12.50
NGC 4438 Magnitude: 10.20, Surface Brightness: 13.60
NGC 4402 Magnitude: 11.80, Surface Brightness: 13.20
M 86 Magnitude: 8.90, Surface Brightness: 13.20
M 84 Magnitude: 9.10, Surface Brightness: 13.00
NGC 4425 Magnitude: 11.80, Surface Brightness: 12.90

So you've finally found a use for that ZS66 !  :)

Mike

The picture I had up was with an ED80 and a Canon DSLR.

Sounds about right, the box on the image is the proposed size of the hx & zs66, the ed80 and also the canon would work a treat as well.
