I was checking through some of the moon Avi's that I took last night & spotted this crater in one of the images - I stacked a 100 frames & resized X2 & then cropped the crater. I think that detail is great - according to my Moon Atlas the central mountain is only 1000m... I'm really pleased with the 5-inch MN I purchased - seems better than the Tal or my technique has improved...

Image looks great if you stand back from your monitor 5ft or so...

Cheers,  John

PS - I'd love to see some shots through the Vixen or LX90 with X3 or X5 barlow....

Crikey ! Great detail - Tony will be jealous !

Cheers - must admit I was pleasantly suprised - I'm thinking I might have to get a X5 Powermate - I'm sure scope can take it when conditions are good (also be good for saturn & Jupiter). I'm also sure that Chris & you could get much better images than this with your setups... I love to see some... It would be interesting to hear Tony's comments.. I'm not sure if he frequents the forum or not..?
