The Thing

This was a quick grab as Orion was coming up over the house and the streelights were still out. Beautiful clear sky after the Moon eclipse.

The amazing thing was this was only 15x10s & 20x60s exposures. Anything more was completely washed out. More subs would have been good for the noise as would flats but I am still amazed at what I got in 22.5 min of exposures!

Camera and filters used:   Canon 1000D Modded no filters
Processing applied:   Deep Sky Stacker, Photoshop CS2, reduced to 33%
