Another (modest) attempt at Jupiter last night / this morning within the limitations of the kit I can point at it. Some improvement on my previous attempt but still a long way to go! However, I was lucky that the great red spot's appearance coincided with clear skies last night.

6" Newtonian telescope on the HEQ5 Pro mount. Celestron NexImage solar system imager CCD camera with x3 Barlow lens. Captured via SharpCap2. This is the output from 1 of 10 x 60 second videos at 5 minute intervals. Planetary Imaging PreProcessor to select the best 1000 frames from each video. AutoStakkert2 to stack best 250 frames (set after quality check) from each PIPP avi into a TIFF image and sharpened with 40% blend.

Sequence of 10 animated in PiPP.
