Here's a more obvious object for this time of year!

Taken over the 3 consecutive nights leading up to the July DSC.
9 hours total exposure time in 5 minute subs at ISO 800.  Modded Canon 350D on Takahashi Epslion 180ED with IDAS LPS-P2 filter.

That is lovely and very subtly processed.

It's definitely better in the larger size - JPEG's don't do dense star fields any favours.
